You can register for a course by adding it to your cart either on the Current Course Offerings page or on the individual course product page. Your cart will always be present in the upper right corner of the page if it contains any courses.
How do I earn continuing education credit?
In order to receive credit for the course, you must pass a course quiz with a minimum score of 80% and must complete a learner survey. The course quiz measures the course objectives achieved by the learner and the learner survey helps us improve our courses and course offerings. Once the quiz is passed and the learner survey is completed, you will have access to your completion certificate. You can access all of your courses and completion certificates when logged in through the My Account link on the main menu.
How do I complete the Course Assessments?

To See All Completion Certificates: Click the Expand All link in the upper right hand side of your My Account page to open all courses. Clicking the Collapse All will close all courses. The arrow beside each course can still be used to open and close courses individually.
Why does my Learner Survey show a score?
This is an estimate of the grade you gave the learning experience for that course. The higher the score, the more positively you rated your experience. We use this score as part of our Continuous Quality Improvement program. If you liked a course, didn’t like a course, or just have some feedback, please Contact Us.
What is Unlimited Access?
Unlimited Access to all course for a full year is an alternative to purchasing courses individually. When Unlimited Access is purchased, learners can register for as many courses as they want at no charge. The price for each course changes to $0.00 for all courses. Registration remains the same but you will not be transferred for payment. Unlimited Access expires 365 days after date of purchase.
What is continuing education?
All of the learning experiences that we offer for credit to psychologists and related mental and behavioral health professionals are intended to build upon a completed graduate program. We adopt the American Psychological Association’s definition of continuing education for psychologists as “an ongoing process consisting of formal learning activities that (1) are relevant to psychological practice, education, and/or science; (2) enable psychologists to keep pace with the most current scientific evidence regarding assessment, prevention, intervention, and/or education, as well as important relevant legal, statutory, leadership, or regulatory issues; and (3) allow psychologists to maintain, develop, and increase competencies in order to improve services to the public and enhance contributions to the profession.”
How are courses developed?
All courses offered for credit through CustomCE follow a Course Lifecycle that adheres to the ADDIE Model of Instructional Design. ADDIE, which stands for analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate, is the most widely used model for designing and maintaining high quality online curriculum. Faculty develop, review, and revise courses within the Course Lifecycle following a detailed process aimed at meeting the quality standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) and Quality Matters (QM).
Because we offer only peer reviewed continuing education, every course undergoes a detailed Course Review process that requires final approval of both the Course Developer(s) and a Course Reviewer. These faculty members are listed on the Course Page for every course under the heading: Course Instructors.
Visit About Us to learn more about our mission to offer high quality, relevant, accessible, and inspirational learning experiences.
What are Course Categories and Course Tags?
Categories represent our attempt at grouping courses by professional activity in order to (1) ensure relevancy to the professional practice of psychologists and related professionals and (2) assist the learner in customizing their learning experience. Every course at CustomCE must fit into at least one of five categories (listed below).
Testing and Assessment – Courses in this category focus on testing and assessment as both processes and outcomes, as well as on any specific assessment instrument and its related applications and research.
Treatment and Evidence-Based Practice – Courses in this category focus on the treatment of individuals, families, and groups, including psychotherapy, and on both treatment effectiveness and treatment related research.
Disorders, Symptoms, and Populations – Courses in this category focus on psychological disorders and the individuals, families, and groups that are impacted.
Program Development and Community Service – Courses in this category focus on mental and behavioral health program development and improvement, including research and service related to communities and community needs.
Ethics and Professional Standards – Courses in this category focus on issues of ethics and professional standards as they relate to psychologists and their performance.
All courses are tagged with key words and phrases to further assist the learner in understanding the main topics that are covered within the course. Course Categories and Course Tags are listed for each course on its Course Product Page. You can also search for courses by category or tag from nearly every page on the CustomCE Virtual Campus.

Learn more on our Partner with Us page.
